11th MARCH 2018
eSports Championships 1 was our very first live event, held at the University of Lincoln on 11th March 2018. We had a great turn out as far as first events go, with over 120 people turning up on the day. The players, spectators and our team all had an awesome day, with some quality matches being played that made it such a fun event to be a part of!
Working alongside the University of Lincoln, Lincoln City Football Club, Grimsby Town Football Club and several local Lincoln-based businesses we held our very first eSports event on 11th March 2018 at the Isaac Newton Building (University of Lincoln).
A unique concept for our first event was created, with fans of Lincoln City Football Club and Grimsby Town Football Club competing amongst one another on FIFA 18 to play for the chance to represent their respective clubs as official eSports players. Ben Sharpe became our Grimsby Town champion, whilst Jacob Bennett became our Lincoln City champion.
We learned a lot from the first event too, but with the experience gained from the first event we were confident of ironing out the mishaps and being able to build upon the success to deliver more awesome live events!
Rocket League - These guys came and conquered everyone that faced them. Great skills shown by Game of Throws to come out on top as our Rocket League champions.
CoD WWII - 4CES turned up and showed the other teams what's what. Great communication along with great individual and team play saw them become our CoD WWII champions
29th JULY 2018
We were invited to once again work alongside another local football club, Boston United FC, for their Community Open Day. We held a couple of tournaments on the day and had people competing from start til finish!
In one half of the room we had players taking on our Fortnite challenge, whilst in the other half we had people stepping up to challenge our reigning FIFA 18 champion, Ben.
The 3 players with the best finishing positions walked away with prizes; congrats to Jorge, Thomas and Aidan! We had prizes lined up for whoever beat Ben on FIFA, but of the 8 players that challenged Ben... none were successful!
We had a great day at Boston United's Community Open Day and helped to raise a decent amount towards their charity.
